Guy hit him from behind, with wild reckless swings. This was a case of snapping. There are a lot of stressed out people here in close quarters. It's unfortunate people turn into savages instead of managing it or finding a different way of life elsewhere if they are driven to this, though some people are just full of rage regardless.
When someone gets hurt like this, we don't here about the effects it has in the person and their families beyond the injuries. Medical bills, lost time at work are like more landed blows for many. Really sucks. Hope he gets caught soon.
If you’re at a disadvantage (size, weight, etc...) nuts, throat, knees, etc...are all fair game. I’m not saying you have to be fair about it.

I dont play around on the street, work and home, dont run the streets anymore. Maybe a bar or dinner here or there but nowhere like I was as in my 20s.
NYC feels even worse then when I was a kid in the 80s-90s. This a new level of crazy out here, and crack is not even the culprit.

As I said. There is looking and there is gawking. Staring at people and making it obvious you are staring at them and continuing to do so AFTER the person is aware is asking for trouble.
Just like women get creeped out when men gawk at them and so on. Don't sit here and tell me they don't so suddenly if it happens to a man they're just going to look the other way? I've had guys look at me that were clearly doing so in a violating manner and I checked them and made it clear that I don't go that way. If you think it's okay for another man to pull that crap and disrespect you as a man, then good for you, but I don't play that. I suspect that something like that could set a guy off and maybe that's what got the guy angry.
