No decorations or any mention of St. Pat's, I find it strange

Kids used to be all over it

I'm not surprised. Public schools in NYC have adopted a policy of "tolerance". We all know that "tolerance" means tolerance for all things not Christian in origin, and a particular level of tolerance for all things abhorrent to Christianity.

It doesn't fit the (liberal) agenda of the schools to teach anything about Patrick, a Catholic bishop who was instrumental in converting the pagans of Ireland to Catholicism. It's similar to the way Christopher Columbus, also a Catholic, has been denounced by the Democratic educational machine, who was also instrumental in bringing Catholicism to the natives of the Americas.

That’s BS . I am a NYC teacher of many years who knows other teachers all over the city. There were plenty of St Patricks decorations and activities in my school and all over. Where do you get crazy ideas like that? Please provide a link about this banning .

Also, there is a chance St Patrick’s Day might become an official school holiday in NYC next year so if anything things might be moving in the opposite direction.

Destroyed Columbus Day? You’re off your rocker too. I went to lots of Columbus Day celebrations here in The Bronx. The Morris Park Columbus Day Parade was bigger than ever.

Some of you people need to get a grip.

Columbus being “instrumental in bringing Catholicism to the natives of the Americas” is an interesing way of saying he was good at genocide

Columbus’ role in the alleged genocide is still very much debatable. The recent Leftist attempt to destroy his character stems in part from “Black Legend.

How can it be BS when the OP had a question mark in the title, which meant he/she was not sure and thus asked.

It was not a serious question. He put a question mark at the end of a declarative sentence to cover himself If it were a real question he would have started the sentence with “is”. It is a troll thread.
