See if you can get something in the area of West 8th or 9th in the 48th-50th st area. Really nice restaurants and lots of people. Near Penn Station is creepy after hours; there are no people, it's dark...

Also, there are the overstimulated mobs for the sports events and rock concerts @ MSG, right upstairs.
