So I was called for an interview about 3 months ago. I brought all of my documents but one (which was my banking statements) 2 weeks later I've gotten a rejection email saying I never brought it in. So the next day I went downtown and handed it over. 2 months and 2 weeks today I haven't gotten any emails or phone calls. I'm really nervous. The last thing I want to here is that there's no more apartments available.

If you're in the appeal process, is there a chance that your apartment could be taken by someone with a lower log number than yours? Because I've always thought that once you're called and still in the system they freeze your apartment until you're completely rejected.

I went through a few appeal processes in the last 8 months, before ultimately getting through. This was for a condo though, so I'm not sure if it's the same.. but here's the exact verbiage I got from HPD in my emails regarding appeals:

"Please note: appeals without additional information and relevant supporting documents or appeals and/or supporting documents received after the deadline may not be reviewed or responded to. We do not hold an apartment available to you during the appeal period. Please contact us as soon as possible if you intend to appeal."

Why didn't you just bring your bank statements?

I've called HPD directly and they've gotten through to them. I need to come in and bring the $25 money oder now and they'll move me forward.

I thought I gave them all of my paper works, but I left my banking statements at home thinking I gave it to them in the pile of paper works. That was my fault
