It's just nice to know with Starbucks, Americans now have a place to go hangout and not have to buy anything.

Americans are sick of your dounblethink commie rhetoric.

You live in such a small bubble with no regard for how corporate American culture operates. What corporatations have you worked for that allows you to make such a broad misinformed assumption?
Misinformed assumption? I also work in a very large company (think Fortune 500) and am in touch with other large corporation and none of them qualify for "liberal". Only short term profit and sometimes 2,3 years profit drive any decision happening, so they definitely don't give a damn about being liberal. Capitalist is the right description, and that couldn't be further than communism.

Americans should first assess correctly before being sick of any kind of rhetoric then.

The manager asked them to leave, they refused and so he called the cops on them. The cops were incredulous when they came & berated the mgr basically saying "you called us to throw out a bunch of grandfathers?". Btw, I think the senior citizens won.
This part just cracked me up this morning LOL. Thanks!

The police knows them, not the public. People in the US are already reporting for anything anyway... holding them accountable would be a smart move.

Starbucks might basically have turned themselves into a homeless daycare center as a result of this nonsense. Not the best of business models.

My first impression when I first known starbucks was really for the rich people. To me is nut that people pay $5 - $7 for a cup of coffee. I still think so today. I am glad that I am not a die hard fan of starbucks.

My sentiment exactly...I really think the manager's lack of discretion is the problem here and this doesn't warrant the national uproar that it has created. This is one incident that occurred at a company that has no previous record of racist policies whatsoever. Get over it...

Has an actual transcript been released of the conversation between the homeless man and the store employee? Until then we can only assume that the homeless man was threatening the employee.
