I am my ancestry is from Spain and migrated to Colombia during civil war. My parents migrated to US from Colombia during civil war. I was born in the US. If you study Spanish history you would see that a significant part of Spain was once conquered by North African tribe (Moors).

No, I had to take ESL class in elementary school and afterwards they stop teaching in Spanish at school until high school when you have to take a secondary language to graduate. Over time I began to favor English, my Spanish is not good enough for a professional environment.
