I can relate to:

3. Historic relics are everywhere.
4. Walking.
8. Art Deco buildings.
13. Pocket parks.
17. The subway…
18. …and bitching about the subway… Because nothing has united New Yorkers in the past year quite like the transit system’s constant meltdowns.
19. …and blaming the subway when you’re late.
20. People-watching.
22. Manhattanhenge.
24.The abundance of extremely cheap eats.
52. That feeling when you finally master the subway.
55. …and that moment in spring when all of the street trees start to bloom.
85. Our superior tap water.
88. Old Central Park West apartment buildings.
100. Because, as John Steinbeck once said,
“Once you have lived in New York and it has become your home, no place else is good enough.”

Which eats are extremely cheap exactly? I noticed that when people say "cheap", they usually just mean not overpriced.

I've been to countless bodegas in 4 out of 5 boroughs and I've only seen 1 bodega cat

That's a good point, although that 99 cent pizza can be pretty mediocre.

It's probably just not that common anymore, who would want to risk health code violations?
