Norwood, NY, is on the Canadian border? We almost bought a large old Victorian home in the neighboring town, Norfolk, pronounced nor-fork, but partner said neither of would be able to bear the frigid Winters.
I would have loved a big home, especially got for around $50K, but I agreed that freezing half the year was likely not worth it. (My back is too much of a wreck to chop wood for heat.)
