Since it's a military base, maybe it was some redneck type from Middle America who ratted him out
Probably, not saying a native NY'er wouldn't do the same but don't think that base is staffed exclusively by locals.
In any event those guys might as well get used to leaving base to get their food. Unless a place as legal/legit delivery people no one else is going to go near. Heck even some SJW business owners out of sympathy with the deported guy might refuse to send delivery.

He entered an Army base. Under whatever auspices, that’s brazen for an illegal. Thankfully some parts of our government still follow the law.
With the increasing boldness of sanctuary cities, I'm not shocked that this illegal immigrant felt safe entering onto an army base.
Deport this man. I understand that it will disrupt this man's family, but the man should've thought about that when he decided to overstay his prior deportation orders and then get married and have children.
I new those municipal ID cards were going to be missused to round up illegals. That alone is not probable cause, to call ice for it.
Hey ice, more Municipal ID cards here, let's round em up.qll we need now is museum employees being rats when those ID cards are shown for a discount.
"Contacted for comment, officials at Fort Hamilton released the following statement: “On June 1, 2018, at approximately 11 a.m., an individual attempted to gain access to Fort Hamilton to make a delivery without valid Department of Defense (DOD) identification. The person was directed to the Visitor Control Center to obtain a daily pass. Upon signing a waiver permitting a background check, Department of the Army Access Control standard for all visitors, an active Immigration and Customs Enforcement warrant was discovered on file. This prompted the Department of Emergency Services (DES) personnel to contact the proper authorities, and transport the individual to DES for further processing, and released to U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. DOD installation commanders are authorized to take reasonably necessary and lawful measures to maintain law and order and protect installation personnel and property. This enables the Fort Hamilton commander to enforce a safe and secure working environment suitable for all. No further information is available on this incident at this time.”
This was by the book. Excellent work by Fort Hamilton!
