Me and the family are visiting New York (Manhatten) in July for five days.

What is the best way to go to save on some of the attractions we want to do (Empire SB, Top of the Rock, 9/11 Memorial / Museum and One World Observatory?

Should we get one of those City Passes?

We got tickets of the Statue of Liberty already.

Also, any and all tips for our visit are greatly appreciated.

Those are nice and all but how about visiting Jackson Heights, Pelham Bay Park, Brooklyn Botanic Garden, Flushing Main Street, you know, the Real New York? Cheap and much more fun than standard attractions you can read about online.

I mean, if tourists want to see tourist stuff, there's nothing wrong with that.

We would love to do more things, but for the time we have we would like to do the tourist stuff first.

People who say things like "Me and the family" and misspell "Manhattan" are not allowed here, sorry.

:P

ETA: Don't listen to me. I live in NJ and only work in the city.

Come and enjoy.

we found while the city passes are a good value , time wise it is very hard to see enough of the attractions in a day to really have it pay off . i doubt you won't at least make back what you spent but those large savings they show are just met with time constraints . many things have lines and traveling around can take time .

Greylines tours offers an all day hop on/off pass, I thinks there is a 3 day as well. It does seem like a bargain, and goes to most of the hot spots. You can also use the subway on a daily unlimited metro card. but I think it is better to be outside than in the system.

What op already listed, can be done very easily on 2 days.

Ground zero museum, century 21 shopping, sights in this area of Manhattan including statue of liberty. I don't see you spending much over an hour at each tourist attraction.

Empire State building, top of the rock ,an hour each and you are done!

On demand, not much waiting, the subway is the way to go. Bring a back bag or tote bag if you plan to shop.but again, on a nice sunny day, those double decker bus will give you a more enjoyable ride.
