If I'm counting correctly, 15 in Brooklyn, 2 in Queens (Jamaca),1 in Manhattan (Harlem), 1 in the BX (South BX), 2 in Staten Island (don't know where).
Seven were shot at a Bed Stuy bbq. I had previously seen that murders in Bed Stuy have gone up dramatically this year (300% in the 79th precinct). A police officer was also shot there this morning.

the city is at crossroad, It’s going to get worse before it gets better. Gangs are emerging and the little turf wars that’s left are running thin. Poverty being confined to projects and small areas while everything else around them changes.
Sticking people in a bottle and just watch them explode.

NYC is safer than Chicago and LA, for a city of its size NYC is the one of the world's safest cities.
Of course but it can easily slip back into the nyc we all remember.
That's why we're gentrifying, so no one that can't afford to be here, can't just slip right in.
