Housing Lottery Verification? (apartments, landlord, moving)

Hello all,

I did all my employer, landlord, and bank verification letters and now the developer recently called my job for verification. Has anyone had the same process? Will they reach call my landlord even though I submitted a landlord verification form? I don’t want my landlord to think I’m moving or raise red flags that I’m looking to move out of here. I feel like this developer is being anal because my friend had a smooth process and they never verified anything.

Yes and they should.
I suggest to let your current landlord know you are trying to win an affordable housing apt. You don't want to move but will only if you land one of these apartments. Honesty and Respect go a long way.
