Crown Heights fireworks video

And I thought, I've seen it all. I didn't even know a "fireworks gun kinda thing" existed.

The sky was lit up with with fireworks citywide Wednesday night but in Brooklyn, some residents took it upon themselves to also light up the streets.

A video taken by Instagram user @WhatIsNewYork shows a woman walking around with a live firework in hand near Nostrand Avenue and St. Johns Place in Crown Heights.

The fireworks hit signs and a storefront - some even exploded inches away from moving cars.

Pedestrians in the line of fire ran away or into a nearby bodega.

The NYPD says officers at the 77th precinct are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information on the case should contact the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS, or text CRIMES and then enter TIP577, or visit www.nypdcrimestoppers.com.

Looks dangerous! And really stupid to be shooting something like that off on a crowded street.

What an animal! Causing such danger to people in the vicinity. That is aggressive, antisocial behavior. Hope they catch her and give her 20 years in prison.

It is some updated version of a Roman Candle. Been around forever.

Not suggesting what she did was right. Get hit by one of those things you might get damaged. But it has occurred for decades if not centuries. I think there are videos of crowds warring with them.

You should be able to criticize people without being called racist

I want to be able to put you down without the whole stigma of I don't like you cause of how you look

If you're a _____ piece of _______, then I should be able to call you that and not be perceived as racist

Why do people make this up?!? You have the majority of the black community not condoning the nonsense. No one will call anyone racist for saying how stupid this action is. The underlining racial tones that spew out in the midst of criticism is the problem
