Best thing about the Bronx is it's proximity to New England and Upstate.

It's definitely great for people who like going to and from Westchester. If you live or commute to areas like Pelham Bay, Woodlawn, Riverdale or City Island, it's a quick trip by car.

But I bet it's nice to not have to always cross a river.

Half the trip to Albany or Boston can sometimes be just getting off this long island.

Yea, Edgar Allan Poe’s little cottage in the Bronx. He moved there in a last ditch attempt to save his wife from consumption by moving to the countryside (the Bronx) with its fresh air. It’s a little working class person’s cottage because he was quite poor, but that also means it’s one of the few such types of buildings that were saved as pretty much anything we preserve and landmark is usually much larger, more sturdily built, and often originally for the wealthy. The guy wrote some of his notable works there because he was plenty miserable with his wife wasting away and had time to write as he was living out in what was truly the boonies at the time.

He also loved pacing back and forth on the Highbridge which is another good Bronx highlight.

There are still some ethnic and ungentrified neighborhoods in the Bronx. Best thing.

Most of Brooklyn and Queens fall into that category too
