The are still has plenty of seedy characters being that it’s close to the port authority bus terminal. I think that there are also some shelters in that area.

I overheard the father of a tourist family say to his wife that this area doesn’t seem so good.

8th Ave to the water, 42nd to 59th.

Lol, go to Highbridge and then tell me Hell's Kitchen is a dump. Take a tourist's opinion with a grain of salt, they probably ate at Red Lobster or Olive Garden later that night and thought it was good.

Meanwhile, I'll be at Rudy's on 9th between 44th and 45th getting $2 beers and free National Hebrew hotdogs.

New York is kind of a dump. That's been established for hundreds of years.

Hells Kitchen is an awesome place to be that's got great proximity to all the West Side has to offer.

Were you expecting Scarsdale?

LOVE Hell’s Kitchen. 9th Ave Festival is awesome. Friends owned a restaurant and we were volunteered to help out. Had a great time.

The Port Authority Bus Terminal and immediate area isn't great, there's still a remaining small stretch of 11th Avenue where the car dealerships are clustered that's not very much fun, and there are parts of the larger Hudson Yards area that are still under construction but those altogether are a small part of the neighborhood.

HK is noisy and has too many tourists. That said I enjoy living here. Half the population is Asian and the other half is gay. Being in a same sex relationship with a Chinese American makes us stereotypical HK residents.
