The courts seem determined in this case to rule in favor of this man as a backlash against Trump. Press coverage, particularly when it portrays someone as sympathetic does help. All they have on this man is a deportation order. No actual criminal issues. Deporting this man is not a priority, and the mother of his children is an US citizen. The guy is going to get his green card.
In fact if immigration were so hot to deport him, ICE would have gone after him long ago. They did not even Trump got electe, it took someone form a military base deciding to call ICE on him.
Re: marriages it's obvious a lot of marriages for citizenship are fake and the couple never even have sex, the illegal immigrant pays the citizen to do this fake marriage. It's also obvious this marriage is real as in they have children together and that makes a huge difference.

This is a damn disgrace. The judge ordered his release, noting that his deportation from the US was no longer "imminent." The "judge" also noted that the illegal immigrant has been a "model citizen," has two US children, pays taxes, etc. What in the **** is wrong with these "judges" who are supposed to be enforcing our laws? Not that it matters, but you are not a model citizen if you are subject to a final order of deportation and REMAIN in the country contrary to that order. Moreover, you are not a model citizen if you, as one who is supposed to uphold the law, lets someone who has shown little regard to the law as far as his immigration status goes roam free in the country. What a disgrace

It's very disturbing that all of the local media outlets are glamorizing an illegal alien criminal, and demonizing the US Military and police force.
Just remember that all of the higher ups like Governer Cuomo and Jeff Zucker who plant these ideas into your head, all live in gated, all white communities. They would immediately cry foul if illegals invaded their neighborhoods like the Hampton's.

You don't have to be an illegal to run a red light and kill someone. No, an undocumented immigrant running over someone I know would not change anything as to how I feel concerning this man. He has done nothing to me, so why would I hate him over the actions of someone else? That's completely irrational.
The same government that cannot end drugs and prostitution clearly cannot end illegal immigration. Anyone who thinks Trump or any other President can permanently end illegal immigration has been sold the Brooklyn Bridge. Just like the people who believed Giuliani could permanently clean up NYC........Of course he didn't. It cannot be done.
Sorry Pal. Nobody can clean up NY permanently. But the Former Mayor Guliani was the man who came the closest in doing it.
Mind you, there are alot of things I disagree with him on but not on how he practically annihilated crime in this city to the levels that
are still seen today with no thanks to Mayor DiBlaahhhhzio.
Giuliani was nowhere near close to cleaning up crime in NYC. He didn't stop drug dealing, prostitution, or end gang violence.
What he did do is shut down high profile porn stores and he shut down a lot of gay clubs. That made the national news and made people feel safe walking around Times Square.
Again the same people who cannot stop drugs and prostitution will never eliminate illegal immigration.
