It really is, and the British guy they hired from Canada is a total clownshow. His solution is to ask for many billions so he has money to do god knows what. Just fix the damn relays and find a way to fire the union workers that are not neded

As a world class city, I'm surprised we didn't try to poach someone who worked on Shanghai, Tokyo, London, etc.'s system. I feel like we're dancing around a rusted pole.

I wonder why the MTA doesn't consider simply sticking with the existing fixed block signaling system and just simply install new signals. Why put in a whole new fancy schmancy signaling system when it's just a matter of replacing the existing signals that are reaching the end of their service life. I'm sure that would be a hella lot cheaper, but somewhere I bet some backroom dealing put an end to that.
