Was the documentary called "Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child"? I saw that one.
I was friends with a woman in the 1990s who was one of Basquiat's closest friends. She's in the movie "Downtown 81" which stars a very young Basquiat.

I saw the movie (forget the name but the one that had Bowie as Warhol). It was very touching.
