Parents, teach your kids *NOT* to speak to strangers, and or to run/walk fast to help or cry out when something isn't right.

I think that attitude damages children for life.

Depending on the size of the kid maybe he shouldn't have been allowed to ride the train by himself.

The child should have ridden on the 1st car;1st door of the train by the conductor. If something happens he can knock on the door of the conductor. (If i had a kid that would be my instructions)

That guy is dangerous. Another child of parents that had NO BUSINESS having kids...

Why is this news worthy because crime is low in NYC these days that one kid gets his Iphone stolen and its a big deal now? Growing up in middle school grown man would beat up on kids and get their stuff stolen. Stupid things like their book bag, jacket, we didn't carry anything expensive like cellphones back than, maybe a $5.00 watch. Didn't matter you could point the guys out to the cops they didn't do anything they would look at you like you had two heads. At least with technology now we have video.

It should never happened. It's good that it is getting media attention and hopefully the guy is caught and does serious time. Hopefully, future perps like him would be deterred by the sentence that he gets.

"Eleven Year Old Bronx Boy Jacked For IPhone"

He lives in Manhattan and went to school in the Bronx. This is why it probably made news. If it happened to a Bronx kid who lived and went to school here it wouldn't, its just a part of life up here.

The kid's name sounds latino. Armando.

True. That guy should get nabbed by police.

The kid should develop better street smarts from this.

Guess I'm getting older because we did not have so many cameras but having flashy stuff to steal near the hood, it's a no brainer.
