I am planning to visit a friend at 762 East 108th Street. Is that a NYC project, and what is the name of the area? Is it SAFE for two women to travel to?
If it's in Brooklyn, the address matches up with the NYCHA (housing projects) Breukelen. The area is called Canarsie.
I've never been so can't comment on safety, but to me, it would be far from a first choice to stay if I were visiting NYC as a tourist for the first time. You're kind of in the middle of nowhere, although there is a subway a few blocks away. It would just take quite a while to get anywhere intersting in Manhattan, if that's the purpose of your visit.
If you're just going to visit your friend and don't care about tourist things in NYC, it could be totally fine. Ask your friend. I'm sure he/she can say whether it's safe/comfortable for two women to walk around the area in the evening.

Thank you,
It is in Brooklyn, New York, 11236-2919. It is between Flatlands Avenue and Gleenwood Road. So sorry.
We are travelling by car, daytime, but it gets dark now early, so we will be travelling back in the dark. I went to Google Maps, and they show the area as East New York......
You think buildings have numbers in 700's on 1ave in manhattan, you dont get around much do you lol
I was going based off the 3 locations google gave on 762 East 108th Street since it dropped the pin directly on 108th street on 1st ave.. I get around enough, I just don't spend time outside of Midtown when Im in Manhattan unless I have to .
