As for outdoors, wool pants and layers will keep things toasty. A fur lined hat is the way to go.
Need one of those.

To be honest I dress the same in chilly fall weather as in a freezing blizzard.

I wear a jacket like this over a t-shirt with sneakers or hiking boots.

that's it.

Only difference is that if it's REALLY cold I may wear gloves

A thin but warm insulated jacket and lightweight waterproof boots are a must.

I swear my North Face goretex mountain jacket and Danner or timeberland field boots.

The late Carl Sagan predicted Florida like weather for New York in the near future.
Bring it on. I've got my beach umbrella and a case of cold brew ready.

Has anyone ever tried those hand and foot warmers that you buy in packets? It's chemical heat. https://www.amazon.com/HotHands-Inso...s=foot+warmers

Actually, me too. It's rare for me to not want to go out in the winter -- I can always bundle up. But there were many days this past summer when I preferred to stay in all day in the a/c to escape the humidity and heat.
