So much for Auburndale. This happened a few blocks from the LIRR near Auburndale. It's still a lot better than Corona but just goes to show you that if we keep letting in illegal aliens, especially from Central America, no neighborhood will be safe.

I lived in the section of Corona that borders Lefrak City some 20 years ago. It was a dump at the time. 1BR co-op could be bought for $30K-$50K with maintenance in low $400s. Houses were selling for $160K - $250K.
at that time, most of Brooklyn was a hood. and you would have to pay people to live there
