now I lean center right and more conservative on some issues (but not all)

I also know the NYPD ROUTINELY down grades crimes to meet a certain political agendas (Usually the upper brass do this, not the beat cops). It's a FACT based on personal life experience.

Not everyone shares the same life experiences so they stay liberals their whole life living in an alternate universe. And that's fine, I don't look down on my liberal friends. I live and let live. Do You.

Do I like Trump? No, he is an *******. Do I think he is effective and doing what I want him to do? Absolutely.
Interesting, so 40s puts you in the 80s and early 90s through the school system. Must have been tough!

Right, I also understand that NYPD among other departments have a lot of pressure to downgrade to game the stats, but the problem is some pretty basic lapses in judgment on this article. You saw something that confirmed on the outset what you wanted, but would have never circled back to check yourself unless someone bumped this topic with BugsyPal's post which I would have thought someone who is as self-assured about how NYPD runs would have already known. I think it's cool to live and let live, it's also cool to actually know stuff that's true and stuff, y'know? It's helping your fellow citizens.

Well I personally apologize for not re-visiting this thread in a timely manner. I should have made a special note to check on it. Maybe next time.

And yes, great to see charges have been upgraded now that you point it out.

Feel better?

Well, no, the question is how do you have the self-assurance to talk about stuff but not know some pretty basic things. That's really the more fascinating part and not the details of this specifically. This was part of my research in an earlier life and I'm still fascinated by all the small instances of this which this board has no little amount of and which I love!
