I'm not able to see my regular psychiatrist to have him re-prescribe me the medicine I've been taking. Would it be possible to go to one of these urgent care clinics such as CityMD or Northwell to get a new prescription? Or could a hospital do this?
Most will not since many of those drugs require monitoring and frequent consultations so anti depression drugs are usually off the list , especially today where liability is so strong for someone’s actions
Talk to your pharmacist. They can usually dispense a few days' worth of meds based on an expired prescription til you can see another doctor. Might be trickier if you're taking controlled substances like benzos, though.
Tx for replies! I should have mentioned that I have Fidelis and Medicaid. Can I go to Bellevue or Mount Sinai and find a psychiatrist at those places? Just walk in and find one?

Not sure what you mean by "not able." Is this short-term or permanent? Can you just ask your psychiatrist for suggestions?
If you have an ongoing relationship with your doctor and he would know that you need to continue your drugs, do you really need to see them in person? Can't they just call in your prescription renewal?
