There is now another 24/7 restaurant nearby, on the corner of Essex and Hester. It is a Mexican restaurant and appears to have a takeout window for crepes as well (I am not sure if the crepes are 24/7, but the Mexican food is).
The restaurant has been there for a while but they recently became 24/7. I recently went there and got two tacos (one al pastor and one lamb), they were very good. At 4 dollars each some may find them pricy, but the tacos are pretty large so I'd say it's worth it.
Went there again at 6AM recently and it was packed! It seems like this place has already became a neighborhood staple, popular with American born Chinese
The food is really good but the soup is SOOO hot, it took about 30 minutes of cooling off for it to be tolerable to me.

You got a slurp it, man, because that helps cool it down.

I was just being careful because I hate that "burned tongue" feeling that carries over for at least a day.

I tried. It didn't help much.
