Where are those Mexicans in flushing? Maybe doing low end restaurant jobs. But definitely not the home owners of those multi million single family houses that dominate areas outside of downtown flushing.on my block, owners are half Chinese or Korean and half white

Hispanic and Chinese culture share similarities in that they are OK living on top of each other, prioritize family above all else and do not have individualistic mentalities, and many more things in common aside from that. There are Chinese learning a great deal of Spanish (but usually not the other way around because for older European languages like Spanish - Chinese is even more of a challenge than it is for an English speaker).
That being said, there are a ton of Chinese investors and businesses in Latin America but not in Spain. Spaniards are anal about their language and too difficult for the Chinese to communicate with. Unless you are Cuban of Chinese descent.

One needs to confront crime statistics as part of the entire mixed salad of thought when it comes to
moving to any location. There is nothing more foolish than ignoring even one variable in any equation.
High crime is the biggest game changer.
There aren't many Mexicans per se in the area, but there is a troubling latin bar that opened up in the 150s on Northern in which many MS 13 members drink at. The 109pct has it under survellience.
That is a very safe and nice area. Absolutely not dangerous. Of course, bayside is obnoxiously safe for a town located within NYC (the 111th precincts crime stats are laughable) but where you are moving is still very safe and nice (and a shorter commute to the city, if that matters)
I don't like or agree with that poster at all, but that claim is not that far fetched. There has been some MS-13 activity in the area (though presumably less than Jamaica and Far Rockaway).
