What do you remember about "the annex" boycott in rosedale, queens? (schools)

Hi, first and foremost I'd love for this to remain civil. I grew up in Rosedale, Queens and remember a bit of the controversy around the boycott over the closing of The Annex school...as part of bussing/desegregation of schools. I'm doing research on that time in Rosedale and I would love to hear what people remember about those events....Or if you lived in springfield and remember rosedale kids getting bussed to your school...that's very interesting, too!

My family moved...in 82.
