Plenty of Latinos live in non-public housing in Flushing. And those NE Queens neighborhoods you mention are the exception. More Asians live around Latinos than not. Woodside, Jackson Heights, Elmhurst, Sunset Park, Bensonhurst, Gravesend, etc.
No group is perfect of course but the South American neighborhoods in NYC are actually very safe. I disagree with using this article to trash immigrants like a few in this thread have.
Nobody trashed any legal immigrants. Big difference between them and illegal aliens that don't respect our laws.
