I work in different locations so depending upon where I go, I do and do not transfer. I will tell you though I will walk is much as 3/4 of a mile to avoid a transfer. I would rather walk than transfer any day.

G to A at Hoyt Schmerchorn was somewhat tolerable. But that was 4+ years ago.

I used to take 4 train from Crown Heights. Rarely any fights or arguments everyone got off downtown. Smooth ride.

Going Downtown on the 4 from BX consistently drama rude savages fights and arguments.
I hear ya but when I used to live in Flatbush along the 2/5 train and worked on the UES (90th and 1st av) the commute one was one hell of a kind. Constant delays and crowded trains before even leaving Flatbush. I think the Bronx is alternative to Brooklyn especially if you work Uptown or Midtown. There are fights and arguments on the A and C train all day everyday and that's not stopping gentrification.

I'd say the vast majority of people on the L going from Brooklyn need to transfer to get to work. It is not a bad connection at 14th to the Lexington line once you know which stairway to take, and at least you have both local and express options at 14th, plus the Q should the Lexington line get messed up.

No transfers for me. I take the A train from Hamilton Heights 145th to TriBeca. It can be crowded, but is ok and runs express. I only go in two days a week. Telework is awesome!

If you can avoid transfers, it is well worth it.

I love my commute which is why I stayed close to yankee stadium when I moved. I can take the 4/B/D or the BXM4 and it will drop me within a few blocks walking distance to work in midtown. Zero transfers.

I 100% agree.

going from the Orange lines to the 7 is terrible at BP
Going from the red lines to the yellow lines even worse and forget about the blue lines.
59th street? oh hell no, going from the blue and orange line to the red lines is terrible
And Fulton street? you are basically waliking in one big loop.

the easiest transfer ive ever had was Yankee Stadium going from the 4 train to D train.

I hate transferring!!!
