Right! I completely forgot about those.
Also I didn't add any Midtown or Downtown Manhattan area because it would an unfair comparison.

Forest Hills and Steinway are worth mentioning, but I don't see the hubub about 86st. I've never done Kings Hwy so I can't comment, but I'm surprised no one mentioned The Junction for BK.
Also in Queens, the area around Queens Center Mall is big time.
I don’t think one is head and shoulders above the others, but Downtown Brooklyn is more upscale as of late, so for that reason only it gets the edge.
I love shopping outside and finding good deals, I'm old school. Have some scotch whiskey in my Pepsi bottle and I'm set. I just moved to Jamaica Center and I love it over here just one block away from the Ave. But I do like to travel to different parts of the city to shop especially The Bronx.

86th is OK, it's big box and chained out to death though. The Junction is alright and I would've mentioned Kings Plaza but that mall leaves a lot to.be desired.

86 street not only has some mom and pop places but also has Century 21, TJ Max, Victoria Secret, Zales, GAP, Models, Banana Republic, Bath & Body work, Chipotle and FootLocker all in 1 1/2 block.
