I’m sure they did their math given COL and probably drew a line beneath which they wouldn’t consider NYC.

Yeah, those vultures know what they're doing -- unlike our credulous cretins here who think corporate propaganda is The Truth.

Even De Blaz was amazed that Bozo Bezos didn't even try to negotiate some typical legalistic shell-game and simply left...just goes to further underscore the already obvious arrogance of Bozo Bezos and his crew.

AGAIN WITH THE RACE CARD???

Blacks were jumping up and down for black teachers!! Claimed they can't learn without black teachers!!!

Then blacks went jumping up and down for black curricula!!! Claimed they can't learn without black history and black studies!!!

Now blacks wanna talk about how they need charter schools???

Them charter schools dump the worst kids on public schools which have to take them!!!

Yet even for all that, many charter schools are not performing much better or have been found to be cheating!!!!!

I think something's very wrong with most public sector unions but in the case of black and hispanic students, it's actually not the union's fault.

But BTFO with trying to muddle the issues...can't argue on the merits of the case so you drag in race, right???

Obviously, the would simply walk or Uber to their jobs, living nearby in all that nice fancy new housing all over L.I.C. which is why the local real estate RAT-LORDS were all salivating over the prospect of HQ2....

They just make things up. No wonder they parrot the Amazon sales brochure. The truth doesn't matter to the yobs at all.

You know damned well despite your patent lies: the subways and buses and roads, and not just on workdays either.

People can't get to work on time as it is now, and we're supposed to have Amazon come here and add thousands of jobs with no improvements to infrastructure? None??

Of course he'll just ignore and deflect, the corporate shill.

Are you factoring in the $3 billion worth of subsidies into this "much much bigger tax income"?

You write as if New York City is Sandusky, Ohio. The city is and will be fine, and if anything, Amazon should create jobs in places that need them a lot more like Upstate NY.

Those people are damned liars who should be shot. They are desperately defending trickle-down voodoo-nomics despite fifty years of evidence.

NYC will be just fine...

Thank you for being another voice of sanity against the corporate shills!!

This is pretty common knowledge. Where do you live that you don't know this?

Your point's totally moot in the first place because L.I.C. was chosen for its combination of centrality and availability. Nothing to do with reverse commutes.

Suppose the city and state combined taxes 10% of that just for simplicity sake that is $375 million in income taxes per year that NYS/NYC gets.
$3 billion/$375mil per year = 8 years for NYS/NYC to totally recoup the incentives just from income taxes alone.
I am not even factoring in property taxes for the HQ, sales taxes, and all the other bells and whistles that these workers are going to spend on. The real figure was that after incentive, NYS/NYC would generate $27 billion in tax revenue from this, over the period that these tax incentives would be in duration. This money probably would have been enough to cover NYC's portion of the build-out of all phases of 2nd ave subway over the years.

Those are Amazon's own figures, dumb-ass. Why would you trust the salesman's own glowing reports???
