The lines go pretty fast and the cashiers are friendly and speedy for the most part. I can't deal with the crowds at Whole Foods or Trader Joe's. I only live 5-4 blocks away from Westerly so that's my main source for grocery shopping. I hope it doesn't go away anytime soon!
No it won't. After the fire a few years ago, the re-built it bigger and added a lot more. They seem to do pretty good business. When i've gone its pretty busy. The tight aisles are no good when you have a backpack on but such is the price to pay to grocery shop in midtown.
They do have a lot of interesting items, it's one of the reason I still pop in from time to time. The people who work in the vitamin dept are also very knowledgeable. I just can't afford to buy all my groceries there.

I mostly shop at Associated. I'm near Fine Fare, I stop in. (And you forgot Food Emporium, Morton Williams, Fairway and D'Ag.)

What amazes me is people who buy brand-names, or ordinary things (i.e. detergent) at expensive markets that charge so much more.

Keyfood, ALDI, Met and Foodtown. On rare occasions, Target.

I think the same thing. After this apartment, I don't think I qualify for any of the apartment lotteries going forward. I have a healthy 401k and IRA balance going though, which I wouldn't have if I made less money. I pay enough taxes to the governments that be with so little return (or in the case of the Feds, basically nothing, I feel like I at least get something from the state/city), might as well make them give me something. The change in the standard deduction and loss of personal exemption hurt my taxes. Basically inverted my Federal return by $1500, I owed so much this year. F the feds, so much for helping the middle class, whatever that means these days.

Also, I'm having the worst trouble finding oat milk at anywhere but Fairway. I don't understand how all the coffee shops get it
