Forty-one years ago; WOW how time flies, and what a difference between then and now.

I was 7. However, I have vivid memories of that time. I was a wide eyed innocent making sense of the Bronx and Manhattan mainly. Lots of struggle in that time, I could not understand intellectually what was going on, but could feel it. Yet, there was lots of love and hopefullness at home. The City has changed but the more it changes the more it stays the same. Just we are older

If I could be in my early 20's and be living in the city (def not the Bronx as it was a war zone) during that era. It would be a blast.

Wow memory lane.. Great find. I feel like going back to those same spots and take new pictures for comparison. Anyone recognizes any locations?

I remember hearing of a place on west 75th st, two bedroom, for $250, in 1979. I never got close to it; finding apartments was very competitive then too.
