My post on here disappeared, anyone ever have that problem? Anyway...

The news said this morning there are 18 million vacant houses across the US. (this number includes rentals and vacation homes, so it's more like 7.5 million vacant) There are 24 empty houses for every one homeless person in this country. S.I. has the most foreclosures in NYC.

I suspected S.I. had a large number of people living well above their means. The numbers are starting to reflect that...

Yeah, I think people were living above their means all across the country, getting loans the could not afford. NYC has a higher percentage of renters right? So it would be hit less hard in terms of foreclosures compared to the rest of the country I would think.

Hopefully the prices will drop 75% so average people can afford a nice home. I'd love to see the rich fall so the common man and woman could take over.
