so April 10th I received the appeal granted and a invitation to interview on April 23 to confirm my eligibility.
It Also said that I qualify for a 1 bedroom apartment at 80 percent of the Ami. for 1,566 a month. so I said to myself they made a mistake let me call them and straight this out before the interview. Because I make 38,400 a year.
so I should be paying 60 percent of the AMI which 1,174
Which I can afford being a single Male who's looking to be living alone. the imcome bracket for this unitis 36,000 to 43,000. so I couldn't understand where the mix up came so I call and the agent said they calculated right the I do qualify for the 80 percent 1,566 he said they count my overtime sick days vacation days and everything they paid me for but here's the catch the overtime pay was sporadic and I'm not working overtime anymore and I changed my shift and I'm not getting night differential or at least as much. but for the overtime there is none. I feel that there projection annually salary is insane. they project me to make over 52,000 this year. I don't understand how?? I have 1 pay stub with like 50 hrs overtime and xmas and new years eve hoilday pay so it was like a 4,500 paycheck but you can't say that my average or projected imcome because my last for 4 paystubs has no overtime plus I miss a day from work last 3 weeks for personal reasons there were unpaid days. so the question is can I get a recalculation?
if I bring my last 4 or 6 paystubs to the April 23 interview
that will knock that first January paystubs out the calculation. these stubs have no overtime maybe 2 or 3 hrs no like double checks..

no luck guys. I went to the interview and they did a recalculation with 4 of my last pay stubs and I had missed a days pay on each one of them but that didn't help because they use the highest calculation of them and they use the higher of the 4 calculations. they took my annual gross for this year which is 12,595.73 and divided it by 7 because I got 7 pay checks this year. it came out to 1,799.39. then he multiple it by 26 because I get paid every 2 week 26 checks. so it came out to 46,784.14 making me over the limit for the 1 bedroom at $1174. the bracket said 36,000 to 43,850. I make 38,480 but there projected imcome is 7,000 more than I really make. I no longer qualify for the 1 bedroom at $1566 either because the recent 4 stubs with no overtime had my projected imcome at 46,000 under the 49,000 minimum for the unit. so i fell through the cracks. either u make to much or not enough!!!! for a single individual. Damn I really want this one. I checked my other application and this will repeat itself and I might get nothing!!!! Also they projected overtime and count everything so don't be chasing o.t. because it keep u out of a new unit. Good luck to you all !!
