I can only say my local Food Bazaar since this is one of the best, freshest, cleanest and cost friendliest stores in my neighborhood. Also because it has its own fresh produce section, fish market, meat market, bakery and deli departments (not crammed into isles). I live in the hood, and would never shop in the Keyfood, C-town or even Western Beef since it was just gross! I find their prices to be crazy for the quality of the store and the neighborhood location.

Well yeah Key Food and C Town are expensive, as is Associated. Western Beef branches are hit or miss; it depends on the specific store.

I'm one of those people who actually enjoys grocery shopping. As such, I tend to have different places where I get different things. Some based on price, some based on quality.

Local to me in Astoria, I have Trade Fair, Best Market, and a non chain (at least I don't think it's a chain) Berry Fresh. I also have Key Food, but try not to shop there, because their produce is ridiculously priced.

When I'm at my mom's in the Bronx, I shop at Foodtown, Fairway (10 min away, just over the Westchester border), BJs or Target.

I love Trader Joe's but there isn't one convenient to me, have to make a special trip.

It all depends on what I need to get. I meal prep, so I plan all of my food out in advance. Makes it easier to pick my groceries up piecemeal.

Got it. I shop at Costco, Trader Joe's and the fake Whole Foods (I will forever be bitter about that).

Mitsuwa in NJ, Fairway, H Mart, Kam Man, and Deluxe (pretty much just a butchery with a prepared foods and small grocery section and there is one in Flushing) are my favorites. I also sometimes go to Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, and SkyFoods. I like going to NetCosts and Costcos, but seldom do and generally don’t buy much.

I still end up buying a lot of odds and ends in smaller specialty stores or small green grocers though. Spring/summer on 8th Avenue especially for vegetables. We got some fantastic quality water spinach recently.

I like the Shop Rite in College Point on 20th Ave. It is open till midnight. Has a huge selection of meats. They have those big prime ribs cuts. Only thing it lacks is good seafood. No one is beating the chinese in that department.

There is also the Iavarone Bros in Maspeth, but it pales compared to the Lake Success store. Too bad Queens does not have a Whole foods.

What is a good butcher in Queens? There is practically non existent around Flushing.

Western Beef and Stop n Shop, those are the BEST. i went to WB recently, and the nostalgia hit me

stop n shop has chicken wings that come in a variety of flavors for $5. regular, buffalo, lemon pepper, teriyaki, etc.... i've had both plain, and buffalo, and they were good.

Trader Joes. I know I only go to the Manhattan one, but it's not like it doesn't exist elsewhere. I'd go to Aldi if it was closer (used to trek to 231st st and Broadway, but at somepoint I said 50 cents saved wasn't worth 2 hours of my day), but as it is I can walk to Trader Joes, Target, 2 Key Foods, 2 Fine Fares, I think a Foodtown, and Whole Foods. Fairway I want to like, but realistically I've only been in once in Manhattan, and a handful of times in Stamford, CT.
