No, it's not about elitism, it's about common sense. Her parents are wealthy and will have to pay the full price for her college education. She will not receive financial aid. Since her parents are paying the full cost, she should attend an ivy league university. If she wanted to be a little different, she should have applied to Brown. She would get her "cool" points, while still attending an ivy.
