Indeed, but I am beginning to fear the "elimination" will be of the current air conditioner. $$$$$$$
Upside will likely be a size increase to 14KBtu/hr (from 12K) which is what I should have bought in the first place.
It might be a different story if I had a place to work but ripping apart an air conditioner in my living room is an awful thought. If I had a basement or work space, or an undamaged back,I might welcome the learning experience but some things are denied to New York City apartment dwellers.
