DeBlasio still hustling out there instead of doing his job as mayor. He had more TV and news spotlight than any of the candidates yet he is so disliked. He doesn't understand his job performance at the national level is abysmal. His policies are only well liked by the freeloaders the city has to support. Outside of NYC people sees him as the divider of city.

My take on the “Bronx is burning again” looming economic and crime meltdown threads - the posters are shorting the housing and stock markets, maybe bought some equity options but seeing no traction so they keep reposting here. maybe getting their educational cues from The Big Short ( excellent movie, btw, but for the love of G*d don’t take it to heart).

Also NY Post is not really something I’d take seriously.. would also be nice to see more reputable source on this topic.
I’m not a fan of De Blaz btw.. but some poster said we’re approaching “Bronx is burning” era again , offering ZERO proof???! ROFL. Shut this sh*t down.

I don't care if you're a liberal or conservative, the real reason why DeBlasio is terrible because he doesn't care about NYC's future. He's bust spending money the city doesn't have because the city is still technically broke if you look at the outstanding liabilities and debts. All the tax revenue the city generated since the end of last recession should be used to pay down liabilities but instead it went to poor people and folks that don't increase the tax base. While the rich are fleeing NYC in increasing numbers.

If a recession were to hit in less than 5 years, there will be serious consequences to all the programs and a decreasing tax base. More well to do folks fleeing and more people receiving benefits flocking to NYC.

That is why DeBlasio is a terrible leader and unfit for mayor or president.
I don't agree with your premise, but I appreciate that, for once, a DeBlasio complaint is rational and well-written.

Opinion:
Search my posts as I have broken down into detail how our tax dollars were wasted during his tenure.

It's business 101.
You invest to make money and reinvest. One fine example is Construction.

DeBlasio?
He invested into poverty................No return on investment resulting in a multi billion dollar deficit...........

He invested in vision zero as an underlying scheme to rake in millions of dollars and continuously
raising taxes surrounding properties resulting in the middle class closing bank accounts and taking their
pensions with them to more respectable states. He literally wants to bring the city to a screeching halt.
25 mph? gimme a break................

Nice going genius...........

That's why if Bloomberg wants to run for Prez, he'll easily be one of the fav if not the nominee. While he was mayor, he helped restructure city government. Ran it lean and held his administration accountable like running a business. He made the city open for business and kept the homeless out of main tourist areas especially Penn station, used to look like a dump after hours. DeBlasio is doing the opposite, he's pissed off many businesses especially developers and small businesses. Well to do folks are fleeing because the taxes and general quality of life has deteriorated. You can't make this stuff up that's why both liberals and conservatives aren't happy with him. He's busy running around spending donors money pretending he's got an outlier chance of staying in the race. He's got cronies promoted and paid well while the city revenue has nosedived. The cops aren't writing tix as much and arrests are down. By April next year, Cuomo is gonna demand that the city cut costs or send more taxes up to Albany.

Cuomo announces income tax revenues have dropped by $2.3B

Opinion:
Well written.
I am happy to see I am not the only one out there that sees the writing on the wall.
I am of the strong opinion the mayor had an idea to quickly level out the economic field.
His ideas to bring the impoverished up to par with the middle class overnight is a failure.
His idea of investing in the future of New York was investing in poverty rather than jobs and business.
You can't make money giving out free cheese but you sure can create jobs by raising buildings.
Raising the minimum wage to $15 an hour to tighten the gap between the poor and middle class
has already eroded business in the city. Just look at all those empty store windows or store fronts
frequented by less and less folks. He has destroyed the mom and pop shops of this city, the fabric
by which immigrants gain a foothold towards greater affluence. He has turned our police force into a mockery
and those greatest of investors, those born ,raised, acquired a nest egg by working hard will now empty out
their bank accounts, sell their homes and spend their N.Y. pensions in other states that will show them the
respect they deserve. Thanks Billy Boy.......Thanks for nothing...................
