Just had an interview and submitted documents to Housing Partnership Development Corp at 253 West 35th for a lottery apartment. Does anyone have any experiences with them and a NYC Housing Lottery apartment?

A friend was processed by Housing Partnership back in 2015 for a lottery apartment. They seemed professional and the process went as smoothly as could be expected. I wish that they were getting all these assignments instead of Breaking Ground.

MacNYC- How long after your friend's interview did they get into their apartment? This is great news.
The process was pretty quick, considering the long waits I read about now. She was first contacted in May, had her interview, etc., was approved in August and moved in in September. This was back in 2015, and her building is not 60 Fulton. I don’t know anything about that building.

Thank you so very much for your response. I am interviewing with them next week for a property in LIC. Yes, I also expected a wait after the interview so this helps in at least knowing something. I have my fingers crossed.
Sometimes the process drags out because of construction delays. Prospective residents have to wait until there is a certificate of occupancy. There’s nothing you can do about it. And then, if things really drag out, your documents get outdated and you have to submit fresh bank statements, etc.
But overall, Housing Partnership seemed to have its act together. Good luck!
