I really don't understand how anyone can support Socialism. It has NEVER worked! My goodness, why do they want to ruin this country? It's sickening!

This is so true. The sad part about it is that socialism seems to work towards the beginning, but when big businesses, middle income and the wealthy leave (due to higher taxes), then everyone else who's dependent on the system will be eating out of a garbage truck. That's when they will see how badly they've been duped.
So question to you liberal progressives, when will you decide you have gone too far? And will it be too late?

I want the "no new jails" set to sit down in front of grandmothers who live in NYCHA, and who have lost several kids to violence, and I mean the random shootings where they aren't the intended target. Tell them that these gang kids need a big hug.
I don't have an opinion about the jails either way but, why is that women in politics? Is her only qualification being Latino and Speaking Spanish? That's it? It seems like she has a very low capacity to think on her own. It is like she gets involved with things she should not be involved with at all. She just wants to be famous or something?

Young black men aren't noted drug addicts. With weed heading to legalization this will reduce stupid arrests of those who have a dusting of it in their pockets.
Now what about the ones with guns who harass middle aged women heading home at 2AM from their 3rd job? Or the baby sitting down in his mother's lap who got gunned down? Or the good black kid who attends college, and who has his cell phone snatched?

What is funny is when asked where socialism works, they hesitate and then say Sweden. That country is tired of telling people like them that what they practice is compassionate capitalism. They have seen the failures of socialism in those lands just across the Baltic Sea.
And yes poor people pay higher taxes in the Nordic lands than they do in the USA. Their VAT is quite high, so even those who don't pay income tax are still heavily taxed.

Alright. Sending reps your way. Only because you're not siding with Latino just because of being Latino or speaking the language. Latinos are probably the largest ethnic group in NYC. They should vote for people who they believe will do a good job not just because they know how to speak Spanish.
With Ja Lo I would not recognize the person if she was standing right in front of me singing her own songs. I really do not know JLO or many other celebs. Celebrities are entertainers not politicians. Whenever a musician gets their noses in politics and speaks up it can quickly wreck their credibility in music.
