Most stupidest thing I've heard this month out of Albany, and that's saying something.

Is it stupider, perhaps, than the use of "most stupidest?"

I wonder.

Opinion: One need not look further than Venezuela to see what happens when you give away more than
you take in................the politico is an idgit............and those who voted him to power bigger idgits...

What one could also do instead of jumping to an extreme example of Venezuela is look to see if other cities or other nations have utilized something like what is advocated to see if positive results have occurred.

Renters have the best deal usually tax wise already .....they get to fly the empty seats when it comes to deductions .
Most renters , especially couples have trouble using anything but the standard deduction .. so they spend little in deductible items and get back more from the standard deduction then they likely spent in deductible items .

On the other hand homeowners can easily eat up that free money with actual expenses they paid and so they merely get a bit of a rebate on what they actually spent ...

Tax wise most renter couples do better by flying those empty seats the way our tax system is set up

These idiot politicians never stop to consider that many people will be like "hey I better drop my income so I get over that 30%!".

Then when the State starts this entitlement program the inflows of cash (demand++) will have pricing pressure++ and make the rents even more unaffordable

Perverse incentives at their finest

This is hardly a new idea--lots of states offer tax credits to renters; some are based on age and others on income.https://www.rent.com/blog/states-wit...rs-tax-credit/

Maybe, maybe not. Has anyone who has opposed it said anything specific except put up a Fox video mentioning Venezuela ? I mean any specifics of the proposal. Just saying.
