If you are from CO then the cold is not an issue. There are plenty of indoor activities and the subway in Manhattan is underground. An advantage of coming in January is that there are fewer tourists so less crowds at various attractions.

So the flight was free due to points and the hotel is $678 in TS with bfast for 5 nights. Not $5 but ALOT less than what we paid in May a couple of years ago for TS location.

Will keep an eye on the weather but I'm excited!

NYC has so many worthwhile tourist activities that are indoors, there is no problem visiting in the colder months. If you’re sensitive to cold, the worst thing is getting to and from said activities but Uber/Lyft have really changed the game for having to wait outside in the cold/rain for transportation. Also the subway is always going to be the cheapest and most convenient way of getting around and is usually only a few short blocks from all major tourist activities.

Then only bad weather issue could be a big snowstorm but even then it’s still pretty easy to get around becase of our subway system.

It’s pretty cheap for you with the free flight and good hotel price, so I’d say go for it

On New Year's Eve, there are usually over a million people on Times Square. Use body heat to stay warm...

Have a wonderful time, hi.
