Religious programming such as this (and not, for example, within a documentary) has no business on television unless it's a religious channel.
What is striking is that for its time, it was acceptable to have that type of religious programming on public television in NYC, almost forty years ago. I doubt that type of thing could occur today.
I love that WPIX 11 still holds true to tradition for some things. They still play the Honeymooners marathon on new years eve and day and on 4th of July too. They still play the Yule Log on Christmas. March of the Wooden Soldiers on Thanksgiving. Do they still play Twilight Zone marathons?
I liked the channel 11 marathons (Honeymooners, Twilight Zone) that would run every New Year's Eve (do they still do that?). Great to watch after recovering from partying and being hung over.
Sure they do.
