Yeah, if having a smart phone doesn't get you killed by those horrible punching hoodlums, then looking at too many mixed fonts, dancing emojis and needless punctuation will definitely do you in.

I do need it. I cover more than one site for work and sometimes they change my location at the last minute while I am on the train coming into work. I need money to survive.

I don't think cell phone theft is a big of an issue as it once was. Smartphones aren't new at this point and most everyone who wants one, has one. Plus, the tech has changed to turn these little gadgets into bricks, so what's the point?

Anyway, I once had my cell phone stolen. I was very close to a new contract and didn't want to spend the money on a new phone. I tried to get by without it. The problem was that even if I can get buy, other people expect you to have one. I would try to make playdates for my kid for example and people would say, "I'll call you when I get there and we will meet up." When I grew up, you would say, "Meet at the NW corner of this street at 2pm." So even if I can live without them, I can only do that if everyone else gave up theirs. I ended up borrowing someone's old phone (a Blackberry, blech) until my contract renewed and then I got a new phone.

I dont have one either, and dont need one, I dont want one.
I work in an office all day with a phone, and E mail.
I have a telephne at home and answering machine

I have no need for one.
I dont need to tell anyone anything that bad, that it cant wait until, I either get to work, or get home.
I dont want to talk to anyone while Im driving, shopping, walking around the block that it cant wait until I get home.

While they are great and have so many great features, other than the camera part of it, I really just dont want one.

I dont want to be tracked down anywhere
