NEW YORK - A Y2K type of software issue caused all of the city’s parking meters to fail with credit cards and pre-paid parking cards Thursday.

The Transportation Department says the credit card payment system software was configured to end on January 1, 2020.

What about for the app? I made a thread on that. My app always glitches too. The meters have been funky ever since they put them in decades ago.
