Okay, Cynthia Nixon's bagel preference was just weird: Lox, red onions, capers, tomato, and cream cheese on a CINNAMON RAISIN bagel. In fact, cinnamon raisin bagels themselves just are weird. If you want that, then get a glazed cinnamon bun.

But now De Blasio, for something that's fairly ordinary?

Whole wheat? Blasphemy.

Toasted? A good bagel needs no toasting.

Extra cream cheese?? Any genuine NYC bagel shop already slathers a ton of cream cheese on a bagel by default.

Look, I like bagels, I grew up in Brooklyn (some of my life anyway), but I don't give a ****. Do what you want with the bagel.

Boomers think that only bagels and pizza are important to NYC cuisine

Bagels are another form of bread. Who cares how people like them fixed.
I like pumpernickel bagels. Sometimes I put peanut butter on them. Sue me.

What's with all the bagel threads lately? Is business so bad that people need reminding that bagels exist?
