the problem with the liberal viewpoint is they disavow consequence. For that ideology it doesn't matter that someone broke the law, because they feel sorry for them and want to help make them better people in priority to helping the actual victim

New NYPD crime stats show a jump in most major crimes in the city in January.
There were nearly 1,300 more crimes the first month of 2020 versus 2019. That's a 16.9 percent increase.
The only crimes that did not increase were rapes and homicides.

Police Commissioner Dermot Shea already has pointed a finger at the new bail reform law for the increase in grand larceny, robbery and assault numbers.
Put a weak-on-crime Socialist in charge, and handcuff the police -- what did you think was going to happen????

Want to hear an awesome one? I work side by side with a victim’s advocacy organization. As an organization, they support this law. Talk about irony!

Well, that's not good.

Assembly Members Told to Stay Quiet on Bail Reform.
Sources tell NY1 that Democratic Assembly Members who have been critics of the new bail reform law have been told not to speak up. That’s because Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, has been publicly defending the changes.

You do realize that violent repeat recidivists sometimes get arrested for more minor crimes right?

The Left has always sympathized more with the perpetrators than the victims of crime. Now that the NYS government is controlled by Progressives, we can expect to see more of this.

But how does this make us more vulnerable to assault, robbery, murder and rape?

To be honest I don't care if overall crime has increased. Crime is a vague term that includes vandalism and snacks stolen from a bodega. Those crimes are predominantly committed by misguided teens who may not have violent tendencies.

I only need to know does this new bail law let suspected gang members and psychos who commit FELONY grade assault, trafficking, rape and homicide go free?

It allows those same gang members to be free any time the cops “only” catch them for misdemeanors. Again, do you not understand that repeat violent felons also commit lower level crimes repeatedly.
