LL's get such a bad rap, sure there are some slumlords and greedy LL's. but being a LL with ever increasing costs in a city that protects the bad guys and renters more than anyone is not easy.

Agreed. The " *all* landlords are bad" crowd and their unrealistic moral objections to renting property are tiresome.

Interesting point. He may be right that at this point in time, more people's lives are likelier to be wrecked by a bad landlord than by a bad mugger.

Opinion:
As costly as it may be, landlords of 2 and 3 families whose homes are paid and
over 65 are preferring to keep their apartments empty rather than fight City Hall.
There is no cost when it comes to peace of mind.......................
