@Stormgal, I for one try not to look down on others. They are working, aren't they? If they sat on their _ not doing _ then people would complain about them being lazy.
I’ve been pro-prostitution for years.
Don’t see anything wrong with it, especially if it has health and safety regulations within the industry(not by the government).
Allow me to introduce you to the concepts of bars, single people, clubs, concerts, universities, adulterers, and just human behavior in general.
In fact, I would say that the kind of sex prostitutes are involved in are less likely to result in STDs because a lot more caution is taken, generally, by both parties in the transaction.
Legalizing prostitution would definitely cut down on rape. Wouldn’t eliminate it of course but it would help. Would help cut down on a lot of testosterone driven crime. And would also generate a ton of revenue for the state. That way the government employees can still get their raises. Which would happen anyway so never mind.

Anyway, plenty of men here want to legalize prostitution, and that's fine, I guess, but ask those same men if they wish that for their daughters, moms or wives. They will quickly say no.
Serious question: For those of you who are married, engaged or dating a woman whom you really care about and love, if she wanted a side gig as a prostitute, would you not mind it? Or do you reserve that for cheap women you can just toss to the side and will never care about?
I feel sorry for those women degrading themselves because they have no other skills. Me being a man, it would gross me out to sleep with such used up women. I certainly wouldn’t want one as my wife.
Well different women will do it for different reasons. Some are destitute and forced into it by predator pimps, some are drug addicted and need to feed their habit, some like you say have no other skills, and then there are those who like the easy money and probably enjoy it too.
Either way any way they are selling their bodies and that has to eat away at their sense of self worth on some level for all of them. Even porn actresses who say they love the work and are perfectly happy who eventually retire, they will look back and tell you that actually in the end it took a toll on their internal happiness and sense of self worth
